The Creative Briefshould contain key information about the website initally based on the first discussions you have with your client. You will probably have a series of meetings with the client to pin-down the exact requirements and goals for the website. In addition you will be:
- conducting a Competitive Analysis of the client's competition
- identifying the website's Target Audience
- creating a Content Strategy
- identifying the company's Brand and Message
During this time you will need to keep revising the Brief. Once it is complete the client can sign-off on it and you can move onto the next stage of the site design.

PURPOSE OF THE COMPANY
A short description of the company and its products/services/purpose. This is not necessarily the same as the requirements for the website. For instance the company may want a site that encourages employee social interaction in which case the main focus would be on the employee both as the subject and user and not on the company's products/services.
- Names of main contacts within the company
- Phone Numbers
- Email Addresses
Title of the Website (this is not automatically the same as the name of the company)
