Metaphor
A Metaphor is used to help the user understand unfamilar information and technology.
The metaphor most frequently used on the web within a menu is HOME which normally takes you back to the introductory interface. Metaphors are used to describe certain sections of the Web (which in itself is a metaphor).
We also use metaphors related to books and the human body for the web
